It’s hard to put into words all that happened during the 24-Hour Fusion Party. 4 countries, 7 US states, and 52 wonderful people participated throughout the day and night. See below for a breakdown of the main events and discussions that took place…
I’ve articulated my big dream for changing the world (or at least as much as I can at this point) and I’ve been thinking about it all week. My dream is to create a place where people can come to find purpose, be inspired, connect with others, and be empowered to take action. I want to help people live passionately.
The question I asked myself this week is what can I do in the next 24-hours to pursue that dream and take one small step? The more I thought about it though, the more I grew excited imagining what could be done in a full 24-hours.
So… I’ve decided to throw a party. A 24-hour party…
An alarm came up this past weekend reminding me that I have only 5-months left to make a plan to change the world. Yikes.
So, rather than being introspective or talking about process this week, I’m going to come right out and say what I’ve found so far.
I think my dream is to build a place…
This week, I want to take a step back even further to try something that I love to do with literally everyone I meet. It is just as difficult as defining your dreams but much more straightforward. I want to ask each of you about your abbreviated (but flowery!) life story…
I’ve had several wonderful conversations this week with family and friends about “changing the world.” I find it thrilling. It seems to be a topic where everyone has an interesting perspective and I’m intrigued to see that this might be an exciting adventure for all of us.
I’ve also received a bunch of thoughtful comments and questions, which I have been documenting and contemplating, and will try to tackle over the next few weeks and months. Keep them coming! Challenging questions promote clarity.
First though, I wanted to share this amazing video with all of you that a friend was nice enough to send to me…
I’m coming back to this blog thing for another six months, not because I like blogging (in fact it’s pretty painful) but because I just need to process one big idea that’s been bubblin’ in my brain.
Simply put, I want to change the world.
What I mean by that is I want to live a life of meaning and significance and I don’t know how much time I’ll have to do that. Don’t worry, I’m not dying, I just want to actually do something about this…
By now you all know about that crazy guy named Harold Camping, and his theory that the world was going to end this past Saturday. You may have heard that he ruined peoples lives who believed so strongly in his ideas that they also left their jobs, euthanized their pets, and invested their life savings into a mass advertising campaign warning others that the end of days was upon us. You may also know about the one simple bit of scripture that foiled everything they were promoting…
I was with a great group of friends last night, and together we developed a new exercise. Miss Lauren Lankford was kind enough to guest-write an introduction.

Open Word, TextEdit, or grab a scrap of paper and write down 10 things that make your life fantastic. No really, this is worth it.
Because I’ll tell you what isn’t worth it…
Last week I asked: what did you want to be when you grew up, and why?
I’ve always found this to be an interesting subject. It’s rare for people to set and vocalize a specific dream, yet this is one that everyone seems to have and remember… and from a very young age. It made me curious to see if there’s a direct connection between what we said we wanted to be and the path that we’re currently on.
This week I wanted to pose a follow-up question…
This is a two-part exploration…
Think back to when you were little. What did you want to be when you grew up, and why?
